November 2020 – The Hypes

I often get the question what sort of tracks are currently being hyped. What kind of sound works right now, what is popular and what can we expect for the future? So I decided to list ten of the most popular and hyped tracks of that month, every month. By no means is this list complete, but it can give you some insight into where the popular music styles are headed. So let’s kick off – Ghost Producer NL – Hypes of the month November 2020.

1. Solomun – Home (Club Mix)

Reminiscent of the best of progressive and deep house of yesteryear with a modern and fresh feel and production quality. Slowly building up and up (and up) before delivering with some amazing melodic goodness. Just close your eyes and let this track take you on a journey back home!

2. CamelPhat – Dance with My Ghost ft. Elderbrook

More deep melodic goodness from Camelphat & Elderbrook. A driving bassline, groovy rhythms and these brilliant catchy chords and haunting vocals take the track to great heights.

3. Malarkey – MONEY

Future house with those distinct retro 90s house sounds. House piano, organ bass. 808/909s. Gotta love it! At least, I do for sure!

4. MEDUZA – Paradise ft. Dermot Kennedy

Credible commercial house from the masterminds behind Meduza. Their specific sound just works wonders for the general audiences around the world. Warm chords & catchy vocals are a winning combination.

5. Biscits – Transition

The whole tech-house / bass-house / G-House crossover is super popular right now. Combine this with some oldschool house sounds and vocals and you’ve got yourself a winner. Subtle but big.

6. Wh0 – Chinatown

Reminiscent of the best of disco-house from the late 90s and early 2000s but with a fresh modern approach to the production. Everyone will recognize the classic sample used in this one. 🙂

7. Giuseppe Ottaviani – Explorer

Giuseppe keeps reinventing himself and delivers another amazing trance track. Pure instrumental goodness with catchy melodies, haunting pads and some amazing synthwork. One of the best uplifting trance tracks of this year.

8. Diplo & Sonny Fodera – Turn Back Time

Another hit song by Diplo & Sonny Fodera. Credible classic house with a commercial touch. This song just proves how timeless this sound is.

9. KSI – Really Love (feat. Craig David & Digital Farm Animals)

Industry heavyweights drop another commercial dance bomb with all the right throwbacks to the house and garage classics of yesteryear.

10. Jax Jones, Au/Ra – i miss u 

Can’t really go wrong with Jax Jones. Always delivering amazing tracks and this one is no exception.
