November 2019 – The Hypes

I often get the question what sort of tracks are currently being hyped. What kind of sound works right now, what is popular and what can we expect for the future? So I decided to list ten of the most popular and hyped tracks of that month, every month. By no means is this list complete, but it can give you some insight into where the popular music styles are headed. So let’s kick off – Ghost Producer NL – Hypes of the month November.

1. Marshall Jefferson x Solardo – Move Your Body

The most popular thing to do in the (tech) house scene currently is to take a recognizable classic hook and rework it into a credible track with ‘the sound of now’. And i can’t get more recognizable than this one. Marshall Jefferson’s classic ‘Move Your Body’ is also dubbed ‘The House Music Anthem’, and rightly so. Solardo’s input breathes new life into this classic which is sure to keep people moving their bodies for decades to come.

2. Jack Wins – Familiar Strangers (feat. Rothwell)

Melodic future house with the recognizable melancholic feels and vibes of the UK Garage & House sound of yesteryear. Combined with the beautifully haunting vocals of Rothwell and classic breakbeats, it’s almost as if Chase & Status did a future house track. One thing is for sure; Jack definitely Wins!

3. Jonas Blue, RetroVision – All Night Long

When you combine the commercial and super catchy Jonas Blue type chords with some twisted electronic dancefloor sounds, this is what you get. Big!

4. W&W x Timmy Trumpet x Will Sparks ft. Sequenza – Tricky Tricky

When Big Room heavyweights collab and you end up with a track that’s too big for just that room. You know you have festival gold in hands! Prime-time party tune.

5. Stormzy – Own It (feat. Ed Sheeran & Burna Boy)

Urban meets pop and dance. Deep melodies, hypnotic rhythms and catchy vocals. Seems like a winning combination and a definite chart hitter.

6. Endor – Pump It Up

Yes, it’s that vocal sample again. But in this new form it’s still hitting all the charts and played on dancefloors around the world.

7. R3HAB & ZAYN & Jungleboi – Flames

Amazing new track by R3hab, Zayn & Jungleboi. An original production with amazing vocals. Combining the best of all three artists.

8. OFFAIAH – SoldierΒ

Another great house track by house music maestro Offaiah, that’s sure to be endin up in the playlist of any DJ worth their salt.

9. Julian Jordan – Next Level

STMPD RCRDS has been churning out some amazing original releases lately. This one is no different. An original take on the big room electro house genre. Festival destroyer for sure!

10. Cato Anaya, Dave Ruthwell, Mr. Sid – SalomΓ© (feat. Dragonfly)

Another big dancefloor track on Kryteria. Featuring a recognizable vocal hook and some groovy beats.
